SAMPLE ESSAY:

The industrialization and development of technologies are the predominant driving forces in changing the traditional culture into modern culture. There is much debate that traditional cultures will be lost as technology develops but I partly agree with the statement as adapting to technology does not rob human of their traditional cultures.

Traditional cultures as enjoyed by human ancestors works well if it is as per local conditions. It is believed by some people that technology development is impinging upon traditional cultures like folk remedies struggles with clinical medicine, extended family has been taken over by nuclear families, kite flying has been replaced by video games and play station. Traditional festivals, celebrations, rituals, music, and ethics are given less importance in this modern era. And this is what makes people believe that this strong current of technology will slowly wipe out traditional culture from the society. What I believe is that technology is for the better of society and individuals.

There are societies where people are following their traditional culture and ceremonies while using the latest technology. With the advancement in technology, cultures evolve and when cultures evolve, they tend to create new technology. Technology and traditional cultures go hand in hand. There is some restraint in modern societies that allow technology to run over cultures. I believe inside every human being, his/her traditions are still alive who wants to be connected with his/her extended family, clan or tribe. There is a strong need for the young people to understand and remain connected to their roots.

In conclusion, many traditional ways of life are indeed lost with advances in technology, but with little effort, humans can still preserve their traditional culture while progressing with full utilization of technology.
